Future of Complete Music Packs

Looking back at my first three releases, I’ve noticed a few key issues between each of them that I will be trying to fix in my upcoming packs. These issues are relatively simple and not at all destructive to the packs in question - I still believe them to be quality packs and worthwhile purchases. These issues mostly lie with my core marketing and monetization practices and my practices to make these packs.

The first issue with my pack structure is the frequency of pack releases. Due to Unity and GDM’s lengthy review processes, it simply isn’t sustainable to wait an entire month for only a $20-30 pack. Moving forward, I will be attempting to release more content-rich packs with these markets in mind.

The second issue is the time frame I have been releasing soundtracks in. My original idea was to work on a pack a week, pumping them out to quickly flood the market. This will not work when I notice the quality of my music to be higher when I place more effort and time into each pack. It should be assumed going forward that packs may take up to a month to release. This will not affect the free pack schedule, which will go on as planned.

Lastly, I’ve realized that using only one song template / melody simply doesn’t cut it. Yes, it is important to have similar themes, but when every song is simply a variation of the last, this becomes difficult and unsustainable. Moving forward, I will be including a number of song templates in each pack with unique themes and ideas, but connecting themes and ideas.

As for the future of these soundtracks, I aim to post at least five complete packs by the end of the next 3 month period. At that point, I will create a “generations” pack, including music from the 80’s, 90’s, and currently unannounced themes. This pack will be cheaper than purchasing packs individually and will include some unique, original songs.

It is also important to keep in mind the limitations of my current website host, which does not permit file sizes over 100 mb for purchases. For this reason, I will be searching out a solution that does not compromise file compression or pack sizes and allows for minimal to no platform fees. Thank you.
